Rockies Earn 4-2 Win Against Mariners
|
The Colorado Rockies topped the Seattle Mariners,
4-2, in National League action at T-Mobile Park. The standout
performance belonged to Colorado pitcher and La Mirada, California,
native Daniel Ponce de Leon. Colorado reliever Brad Brach was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Trevor Richards. The win gives Colorado a record of 1-1.
Colorado used a timely hit from Elias Diaz
to get the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run double in the top of the
24th inning to put the Rockies ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4
at-bats, but it made an impact.
"Our team showed some resilience," said Diaz.
